The powers that be have determined which county football players will make up the the Division II Class AA Middle All-Region team.
Names from Christ Presbyterian Academy, Franklin Road Academy and Battle Ground Academy fill the list.
BGA’s versatile offensive weapon Tiy Reed was named the region’s Athlete of the Year, while CPA’s blue-chip running back and linebacker Kane Patterson, off to Clemson next fall, earned the MVP Award.
FRA DT Tymon Mitchell (a Georgia recruit) was the Defensive MVP, while college prospect WR Noah Henderson was named the Offensive MVP. FRA’s Jack Norris and BGA’s Jack Sauder were Co-Kickers of the Year.
BGA’s Chico Bennett, FRA’s Kevin Donnell and CPA’s Sanders Whiteside and William Horne were named to the superlatives list for defensive linemen, while CPA’s Bryce McCorrmick and FRA’s Jacob Jackson earned linebacker honors.
BGA’s Antonio Stevens, Garnett Hollis Jr. and Briston Bennett and CPA’s Sam West earned defensive back honors.
On offense, CPA’s Jacob Stopkitte and Jarrett Matthews made the list for offensive linemen, as did BGA’s Kenny Rawls and Eli Mayberry.
FRA’s Brogan Wilson and CPA’s Andrew Madden earned running back honors, while FRA’s Lance Wilhoite (headed to Oregon) and FRA’s Riley Speed were named among the wide receivers.
CPA’s Ryan Eledge was named the lone quarterback in the region.
For Second Team All-Region, CPA had Sam Leonard, Reed Stout and McNeil Stout, BGA had Kaleb Seay, Nick Semptimphelter and Teddy Holloway and FRA had Kingston Gardner, Jack Arsta and Jeffrey Velcher.
CPA’s Reed Stout, BGA’s Trace Adams and FRA’s Jack Arsta earned Scholar Athlete Awards.
