UPDATE: Police believe fatal drive-by shooting in Brentwood was targeted, not random

BRENTWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Brentwood Police Department is investigating a shooting death that occurred at 1426 Dozier Court in the Brenthaven subdivision.

The incident was reported shortly after 11:00 pm on Monday, December 3, 2018.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting multiple shots fired into the residence from the street. Upon arrival they discovered a 25-year-old male victim inside the residence who had suffered a single gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were additional family members in the house at the time of the incident who were unharmed.

Detectives continue to conduct an investigation at the residence and in the street in front of the residence.

The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time.
