A back-to-school guide for Spring Hill

A back-to-school guide for Spring Hill

BY ALEXANDER WILLIS

To the likely dismay of many Spring Hill adolescents, school is fast approaching. Students attending one of six schools in Maury County will have their first day of school this Thursday, and those attending a school in Williamson County will be getting started with a half day next Friday on Aug. 9.

For kindergartners attending Williamson County Schools, the first day of school won’t be until Aug. 19.

Bus pickup locations and times vary by which school students are attending, and what neighborhood they reside in, but generally pickup is scheduled for no longer than 60 minutes before school begins. Parents can look up their child’s particular bus pickup time and location online by providing their home address by clicking here if assigned to a Maury County school, or clicking here if assigned to a school in Williamson County.

This year also marks the first time parents can track their child’s bus in real time using Safe Stop — a mobile app that can be downloaded for free on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Parents will need their child’s ‘Other ID’ from their Skyward Family Access account to register for the app. Those without a Family Access account are encouraged to contact their child’s school for more information.
