Pierson Nelson, son of Todd and Renee Nelson, is a senior at Summit High School and a member of the varsity cross country team.
At the teams last varsity meet, he got third overall and he has a 17 minute 5K.
He started running after one of his friends convinced him to join the team and hasn’t stopped since.
When asked what inspires him to train and compete, he said, “My goal of making myself the best I can be for the glory of God.”
His biggest role model is his father, Todd because he instilled the belief in him to never give up no matter what.
Although Nelson is unsure of where he would like to attend college, he plans to run at the D1 level.
