Katie Carpenter, daughter of Michael and Chalon Carpenter, is a sophomore at Summit High School and a member of the bowling team.
This season, her biggest highlight was bowling a 203 game.
She started bowling for fun when she was very young. At age 11, she realized it was something she wanted to pursue more than just the occasional game, so she joined a league.
When asked what inspires her to train and compete she said “the fact that I can get better” is what keeps her pushing forward.
One of her biggest inspirations and role models is her father, Michael. She said that she really admires the fact that he is always teaching her to get better.
Only a sophomore, Carpenter’s plans for the future after high school are still undecided.
