Dalton Johnson, son of Price and Andrea Johnson, has been the number 2 seed on the Summit High School tennis team.
Johnson said his inspiration is his father.
“He’s shown me the importance and payoff of honorable hard work,” he said.
His coach, Paul Gilbert, said he is the standard for what can be considered a student-athlete.
“He has done a masterful job of balancing academics and athletics and is a role model for our younger players,” Gilbert said.
His highlights include beating Page High School’s number 1 seed and Dickson County High School’s number 2 seed. He’s the number two seed on the Summit High School tennis team.
He first started playing tennis in 5th grade when he got his first racquet. He’s played ever year since, he said.
He has a scholarship at Texas Christian University and he plans to major in political science.
