BGA celebrates teacher who retired after 39 years leading fine arts program

Battle Ground Academy is hosting a reception for Carol Lea-Mord in celebration of her retirement from the school after 39 years of service.

The event is from 5- 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Mary Campbell Visual Arts Center on BGA’s Glen Echo campus. It is free and open to the public.

Lea-Mord joined BGA in 1979 and led the school’s fine arts program throughout her career. She retired prior to the current school year.

The reception will be held during BGA’s annual Alumni Art Show, which features artwork from many of Lea-Mord’s former students.
