Tennessee Realtors announced the death of longtime Williamson County businessman Boyce Magli on their Facebook page Saturday. He was 76.

According to Magli Realty’s website, of which he was an owner/broker, Magli began his career in real estate after graduating from the University of Tennessee.

Magli served two terms as president of the Williamson County Board of Realtors and as the president of Tennessee Realtors, formerly the Tennessee Association of Realtors, where he was honored as Realtor of the Year by both organizations in 1977 and 1981 respectively.

“We were saddened to hear of Boyce’s passing. As our state president in 1979, our REALTOR® of the Year in 1981, and a deeply involved member over several decades, he made a tremendous positive difference in Tennessee’s real estate community. Boyce was always known as a gracious gentleman, a consummate professional, and a generous mentor to many brokers and agents. Our prayers are with his family and loved ones,” Kathy Tucker, 2019 president of Tennessee REALTORS®, the state industry association, said in an e-mail to Brentwood Home Page.

Magli was a founding director of Brentwood National Bank and chairman of the Bank’s Executive Committee, before most recently serving as a Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Commissioner.

Boyce Magli’s brother Tom Magli, also with Magli Realty Co., said his brother died of heart failure while on a hunting trip in Argentina with other local businessmen.

“Hunting with friends was one of his passions. He was only 76 years old and has left us too soon. The family is making arrangements and is expecting to have more details soon,” Tom Magli said in an email.

No funeral announcements have be made public at this time.
