BREAKING: Early voting favors Andersons, District 9 candidates with deep ties

Results from the early voting period show county clerk incumbent Elaine Anderson, incumbent Mayor Rogers Anderson, and Sherry Anderson in the register of deeds office leading.

Mayor Rogers Anderson has garnered 79.76 percent of the early vote, with Kenneth Eaton taking 20.8 percent in the Republican primary.

In the register of deeds race, political newcomer Julie Hannah has 40.44 percent of the early vote, while Sherry Anderson has 59.48 percent.

In the District 9 race, Chas Morton and Matt Williams in the lead of a four-way race; Williams has 28.48 percent, Morton has 26.34 percent, while incumbent Todd Kaestner closely follows with 24.93 percent and Bob Peterman rounds out the pack with 20.08 percent.

Early voting results accounted for 4.8 percent of all registered voters in the county.
