Bridge work will reduce travel lanes at I-440 interchange

Crews this weekend will be working to repair six bridges at the I-440/I-65 interchange over Hwy. 31 (Franklin Pike) about six miles north of Brentwood, according to the weekly construction report from the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

From 5 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, through 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, there will be a lane closure on I-440 eastbound at I-65. At least one lane will remain open.   Motorists should expect delays.

In addition, from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, there will be a ramp closure on I-440 eastbound to I-65 northbound and I-440 westbound to I-65 southbound.

According to TDOT, this work is weather dependent and will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.
