Centennial’s Cougar Classic basketball tourney set to tipoff Saturday

The Cougar Classic lineup is set for Saturday, December 08, 2018 at Centennial High School and features the top high school basketball teams in the Midstate.

The 2018 State Tournament participants, Stratford Spartans, will face the Centennial Cougars at 3:00 pm.

Following the first game, the four-time defending state champion Brentwood Academy Eagles will face the 2018 state tournament participants, Blackman Blaze, at 4:30pm.

Centennial Head Coach Pete Froedden encourages basketball fans to come out and see two great high school games.

Coach Froedden’s Centennial Cougars are led by junior guards Tre Carlton and Dusty Williams.

The Cougars are off to a solid 3-2 start with their only losses coming to Brentwood Academy and another 2018 state tournament team, the Mt. Juliet Bears.

Gates will open at 2:15 and tournament admission is $5.
