City of Spring Hill unveils sleek new web site

On Thursday morning, the city of Spring Hill launched a redesigned web site.

The new site went live in the morning, and Mayor Rick Graham announced the news at his state-of-the-city address at the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce luncheon in the afternoon.

“This has been a seven-month process, it took a lot of work, we are very proud of it and we hope you are too,” Graham said.

He said the new site is cleaner, simpler and easier to use.

Instead of dropdown, fold out menus it now has “mega” menus.

“We think you will find it less cluttered, and a more user-friendly design,” Graham said.

Jamie Page, communications officer and website administrator for the city, spearheaded the effort to revamp the site.

The full redesign of the city website began in June 2016, when Page appointed a 13-member committee made up of a city employee representative from each of the city departments to ensure that every department had direct input.

“I was proud to oversee the redesign of our new City of Spring Hill website, and we’re ecstatic to have launched it at the State of the City Address,” Page said. “When you go to our new site, you’ll visually get a feel for what Spring Hill has to offer, and hopefully find the site much more user-friendly. The new site was designed to have a much simpler, cleaner feel, as well as some fresh ways get information from the City. I hope residents will take time to check out the site and give us feedback on their user experience.”
