Columbia State Franklin campus offers “Late-Start” classes

Columbia State Community College is now accepting Late-Start applications for the fall 2016 semester.

The college is offering a limited number of Late-Start classes, which begin after the start of the traditional fall term.

Late-Start classes are ideal for anyone that missed the previous application deadline, but would like to start classes before the spring semester. They are also a great option for current students looking to add another class.

Late-Start classes for the 2nd 10 Weeks begin Sept. 26, and new students must complete and submit an application by the Sept. 9 deadline. Returning students who have missed one or more semesters must reapply for admission by Sept 16.

Late-Start classes for the 2nd 7 weeks begin Oct. 12, new students have until Sept. 23 to submit their application. The last day to apply for returning students is Oct. 3.

Upon acceptance, new students must schedule and attend a Right Start Orientation, where they will meet with an adviser and register for classes. Both faculty and staff are ready to help students with the registration process, answer questions, and create a plan based on their individual needs.

Applications are currently accepted online at www.ColumbiaState.edu/Apply. There is a $10 one-time application fee for first-time applicants.
