CPA boys golf second in D-II state tournament, FRA’s girls team wins state

The Christ Presbyterian Academy boys golf team came in second for the state’s D-II-A state tournament.

The Lions came in +28 under par to claim silver.

Franklin Road Academy golfer Josh Holtschlag finished in second at even par.

CPA golfer Gavin Clements finished fourth overall (-2) in the state.

On the girls’ side, FRA won the D-II A state tournament once again with a +6 overall.

Angelina Chan (-3) and Tzunami Polito (+9) placed first and second respectively, while Emily Wilson came in sixth (+9).

Lions golfer A. Jacks Green came in eighth with +5 over par, while Christopher Hanson tied for 19th (+11), Charlie Collier tied for 24th (+14) and Elijah Moore tied for 26th (+16).

FRA came in third behind CPA with +29 over par.

The Panthers’ Aiden Call tied for 12th with +9. Aaron Schierbaum came in 18th (+7) for the school, while Alex Mick tied for 28th with a +13 and Timothy Pinkston placed 30th with a +17.

Battle Ground Academy sent a lone golfer, Duke Waldrop, who tied for fifth with a +6.

CPA’s J.J. Williams and FRA’s George Felkner participated but were ineligible for individual honors, per the TSSAA.
