Monday, April 15 is the deadline to apply for scholarships offered by the REALTOR® Good Works Foundation.
These $5,000 scholarships are open to all Williamson County Tennessee public high school seniors.
“We want to invest in future generations starting right here in our community,” Good Works Foundation 2019 Scholarship Committee chair Jordan Vaughn said. “We are always encouraged and motivated meeting these young leaders and the lives they impact.”
Throughout the year countless members of WCAR have come together to organize fundraisers such as silent actions, a golf tournament, and association mixers to raise funds. The association raises thousands of dollars annually to provide scholarships to graduating seniors.
“It always does my heart good to see the look on these kid’s faces when they realize they have been awarded a scholarship,” said Danny B Wood, RGWF Chairman of the Board of Trustees. “Even more rewarding is when we hear back from them after they have entered college to thank us, once again, and to give us an update on their many academic involvements.”
How to apply
If you are interested in the RGWF Scholarship, visit your school guidance counselor or visit www.wcartn.org for more information.
Founded in 2007, REALTORS® Good Works Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® and was created to facilitate WCAR members with a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the community.
This scholarship is needs based, but looks beyond just income. Community involvement is a factor, as is whether the student is working while maintaining a positive GPA; and what is the impact they are having on the Williamson County community?
“We look forward to seeing this year’s recipients of the 2019 Realtor Good Works Foundation Scholarships,” Vaughnn said.
