Williamson County Parks and Recreation is accepting registration for the Discover Williamson program for seniors (anyone over 55 years old).
Active adults interested in learning more about Williamson County and the many homegrown opportunities to make a difference in the community are invited to
The Discover Williamson Program was founded in 2015 by the Council on Aging of Middle Tennessee and is now presented as Discover Williamson in collaboration with the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department.
Discover Williamson participants will meet April 10-26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. on each Tuesday and Thursday at the Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park, 110 Everbright Ave.
Through lectures by Williamson County leaders, discussions and tours, the group will explore topics including county history, government, economic development, health, community resources, volunteering, culture and arts. Lunch and any group transportation are provided for each meeting.
The Discover Williamson Spring program is limited to 30 people. Registration is available on line at www.wcparksandrec.com, activity #11788, and the cost is $99 per participant.
