For a special night of Thursday night lights, two Williamson County teams won big.
The Franklin Rebels got to 5-4 on the season with a commanding 44-6 win over visiting Spring Hill.
Running back Matt Gaca paved the way with 138 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, while quarterback Josh Nichols threw for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Wide receiver Chancellor Bright caught Nichols’ 2 touchdowns and 62 of the yardage, while tight end Brock Holthaus led the receiving stats with 69 yards on four catches.
The Rebels were up 21-0 at halftime and never looked back.
Raiders QB Stanley Worstell threw the night’s lone touchdown for Spring Hill to Avery Worstell in the third quarter.
Franklin will close out the season with a trip to Dickson County, while Spring Hill (0-9) will host Lawrence County to finish the season.

The Independence Eagles also got the best of visiting Memphis East 51-0.
QB Ethan Cash threw for 100 yards and a touchdown, while QB Nathan Cisco threw for 70 and a touchdown.
In his Eagles debut, WR Chayce Bishop scored 2 touchdowns, as did WR Isaiah Collier.
RB Tyrus Jackson had two scores of his own.
Independence (5-4) will close out the season with a trip to Ravenwood Oct. 26.
