FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Nolensville, BGA, FRA all win big

Below are recaps of Week 8 Williamson County football games.

Battle Ground Academy vs. Glencliff 

The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats pounced on visiting Glencliff Friday in a 44-6 victory.

Running back Kaleb Seay rushed for 141 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win.

Both Sean Williams and Ryan Casimier had pick-sixes in the match-up, and QB Nick Semptimphelter threw a touchdown to offensive threat Tiy Reed early in the game.

BGA (6-2) will next head to Franklin Road Academy for a district bout.

Nolensville vs. Lincoln Co. 

The Nolensville Knights got a big 42-3 win over visiting Lincoln Co. Friday.

WRs Timothy Stayskal and Zachary Campbell had two touchdowns each in the victory, and two-way threat Tim Coutras had a pick-six and receiving touchdown. QB Ryder Galardi threw five strikes into the end zone on the night.

The 5-3 Knights will next aim to take down Maplewood this Thursday.

FRA vs. Columbia Academy

RB Brogan Wilson’s 214-yard, 3-touchdown night powered Franklin Road Academy to a 43-14 win over Columbia Academy.

Oregon commit Lance Wilhoite had three catches for 89 yards, and Kingston Gardner blocked a punt for a touchdown on the night. QB Sean Casey also threw 6 in for Riley Speed.

Each of Wilson’s TD runs came from 50+ yards out (74, 67, 58).

They’ll next take on BGA Thursday for the big district game.

Franklin vs. Oakland 

The Franklin Rebels struggled against the Oakland Patriots in a trip to the Boro, coming up short 45-7.

Chase Crow ran in the lone tally for Franklin.

The Rebels (4-4) go on Fall Break before hosting winless Spring Hill Oct. 19.

Ravenwood vs. South Warren 

The Ravenwood Raptors couldn’t get much going offensively in a 21-0 loss to South Warren.

The Raptors (6-2) look to rebound as they host Fairview next Friday.

Grace Christian Academy vs. Huntland 

GCA got topped by road opponent Huntland 49-7 Friday.

The Lions (0-7) are still searching for their first win, and get another chance to claim it against Mt. Pleasant Oct. 19.
