Thought the Grace Christian Academy Lions lost Monday night, the program hit a special milestone with one of its standout players.
Junior Mason McKnatt reached 2,000 points for his career with the Lions, now sitting at 2,014 overall after his 20 points scored against visiting Fairview.
“It’s not easy being a coaches son,” GCA head coach and Mason’s dad Len McKnatt wrote on Instagram after the accomplishment. “Proud of the hard work and TEAMmates that went into eclipsing the 2,000 point mark for @30mason career. I know I’m tough on you but I love you very much.”
The Lions (12-13) will finish the regular season Tuesday at Columbia Academy before entering their district tournament next week.
