Kathy Cook, a local native of Columbia and Spring Hill for more than 25 years, has been named executive director of The Pregnancy Centers of Middle Tennessee.
The mission of the Pregnancy Centers of Middle Tennessee is to affirm the value of life by providing a network of care to those experiencing pregnancy related crisis. They operate centers in Spring Hill and Columbia.
Cook comes to PCMT with more than 12 years of non-profit experience working for the nationally recognized ministry, The Dawson McAllister Association.
“We are thrilled to welcome a person with such a high level of professional class and compassion coupled with an extensive and impressive history of excellent non-profit work.” said Ike Wingate, Board Chairman. “Kathy Cook is the perfect fit to make this impactful ministry and resource known to everyone in need in our community.”
Building off of the existing foundation, Cook plans to grow awareness and understanding for what these centers do in our community and create valuable partnerships and synergy with like-minded organizations. These efforts all aim to ensure that anyone who is in a crisis pregnancy situation knows there is a caring and loving organization that is here in our community and ready to help them without judgment.
“I am honored to come along-side a committed team and board who are serving their community to provide a safe place of care for men and women who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies,” Cook said. “I look forward to
engaging with the community to further fulfill the mission of saving lives.”
PCMT is a Christian-based ministry that advocates for the sanctity of human life and believes in giving factual, practical and complete information on prenatal development, adoption, abortion, and parenting to their clients, aiming to help individuals make the most informed decision regarding their pregnancy.
