Kiwanis bike ride fundraiser a success


To the Editor: The Kiwanis Cycling for Children Charity Bike Ride on Aug.16 was extremely successful thanks to the sponsors and community support. Proceeds will fund the numerous projects sponsored by The Kiwanis Club including Spring Hill Parks, Boy Scout Troops, and The Well Outreach Food Pantry.

The Kiwanis Cycling for Children Charity Bike Ride on Aug.16 was extremely successful thanks to the sponsors and community support. Proceeds will fund the numerous projects sponsored by The Kiwanis Club including Spring Hill Parks, Boy Scout Troops, and The Well Outreach Food Pantry.

The ride was the club’s sixth and participants have come from as far as Nashville and Tullahoma.

Sponsors included IBEX Global, GM Spring Hill Manufacturing, Atmos Energy, Applebee’s, Walgreens, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Williamson Pediatric Dentistry, Direct Auto Sales, BMB Properties, SunTrust Bank, First Farmers & Merchants Bank, Community First Bank & Trust, TriStar Bank, Captain D’s of Spring Hill, R.B.’s Cyclery, Lifeguard Ambulance Service, BeWell Chiropractic, The Advertiser News, the law Office of Stacey S. In the past six years, the Kiwanis Club raised more than $40,000 for children’s programs in the Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station communities. Meetings are from noon-1 p.m. each Tuesday at the Kroger Marketplace in Thompson’s Station and are open to anyone living or working in Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station.
