Kroger holding hiring event for management-level employees

Kroger is looking to hire managers for stores in Middle Tennessee.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply at, then come to the hiring event from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday, January 4, at the company’s offices located at 2620 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville.

“We are looking for individuals who are at least 21 years of age and have a bachelor’s degree and/or 2-5 years of retail management experience,” said John Swindell, recruiting and training manager for the Kroger Nashville division, in a company press release.  “Kroger offers a competitive salary based on experience, a great benefits package including 401K, and opportunities for advancement.”

Nationwide, the Kroger Family of Stores created around 10,000 new jobs in 2018, according to the press release. Kroger has 2,800 retail food stores and nearly half a million associates serving nine million customers shopping under the following banner names:

  • Supermarkets – Kroger, Ralphs, Dillons, Smith’s, King Soopers, Fry’s, QFC, City Market, Owen’s, Jay C, Pay Less, Baker’s, Gerbes, Harris Teeter, Pick ‘n Save, Copps, Metro Market, Mariano’s
  • Multi-department stores – Fred Meyer
  • Dillons Marketplace, Fry’s Marketplace, King Soopers Marketplace, Kroger Marketplace, Smith’s Marketplace
  • Price-impact warehouse stores – Food 4 Less, Foods Co

In addition to job creation, The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) is investing an incremental $500 million in associate wages, training and development over the next few years, as part of Restock Kroger.
