Williamson County County Mayor Rogers Anderson will present his annual State of the County address on Tuesday, July 15, at the monthly Williamson Chamber Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

The monthly luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, 700 Cool Springs Boulevard.

In his address, Anderson will explain how and why county funds have been allocated for the coming fiscal year. The county’s 2014-15 budget of nearly $441 million will work to support growth in the school population, infrastructure upgrades and other needs. The majority of funds have been committed to support the public school system in the past.

Anderson ran unopposed for the second time and will begin his fourth term this fall. He has served as chief executive officer of Williamson County since 2002 – a post now known as the county mayor. As county mayor, he leads the local government and is in charge of fiscal management and other executive functions. Anderson also was a county commissioner from 1986 to 2002, serving both as chairman and vice-chairman.

The July 15 luncheon is being presented by Saint Thomas Health. The cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-members, who may register as guests. A $5 late fee is added after noon on Friday, July 11.
