At an event held next Tuesday night in Leiper’s Fork, award-winning songwriters will take part in a fundraiser for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Karl Dean.

Held at a private home in the Fork from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the cost of attendance is $250 per person.

Host privileges cost $4,000, while co-hosts cost $2,500 and sponsors, $1,000.

Featured songwriters include Rivers Rutherford (“Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You;” “Ladies Love Country Boys;” “Real Good Man”), Jeff Hanna (Grammy Award Winner, “God Bless the Broken Road”) and Matraca Berg (“Strawberry Wine,” “You and Tequila”).

Kelly Baker-Hefley and Chris Baker, Bonnie Garner, Ann Johnson, Williamson County Democratic Party Chair Holly McCall and Tom Bitto, Robbie and Kevin “Keb Mo” Moore, Allie and Rivers Rutherford and Theresa and Mark Tillinger also will be on hand.

“Williamson County has a lot of creative talent volunteering for Karl Dean because they recognize he’s clearly the best candidate for our area and all of Tennessee,” McCall said. “I’ve personally witnessed the economic stability Karl brought to the Nashville area during the Great Recession, so I’m thrilled to be able to introduce him to more of my neighbors here.”
