OBITUARY: Ann Warren Lane

Ann Warren Lane, 71, of Franklin, Tennessee, died peacefully Sept. 30, 2014 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ann Warren Lane, 71, of Franklin, Tennessee, died peacefully Sept. 30, 2014 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ann lived life to the fullest, always with a beautiful smile on her face. She never met a stranger.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was her grandchildren’s greatest supporter and number one fan.

A lifelong University of Tennessee fan, she was a season ticket holder and followed the Vols and Lady Vols for many years.

Graduate of Spring Hill School, where she was captain of the basketball team, football cheerleader and homecoming queen. Employee of Lasko for 42 years.

Preceded in death by parents, Herman “Dot” & Mabel Warren. Survived by children, Suzanne (Jim) Strong, Abbie (Wayne) Bishop & Warren (Valissa) Lane; grandchildren, Parker and Matt Strong, Mackenzie Hood, Kristen and Landon Hobbs, Griffin Lane and Logan DePalmer; sister, Faye Goins; brothers, Larry (Sharon) Warren and Randy (Cassy) Warren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial. A celebration of life service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Randy Brown officiating.

In honor of Ann’s passion, please feel free to wear or accessorize with orange if attending the service. Burial in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Scott and Wayne Goins, Lance Warren, Halston and Houston Warren and Johnny Hobbs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
