Patio dining weather arrives at last

After a hot and humid summer, the steamy weather seems to have lifted and al fresco dining beckons.

There are lots of great options in our area, but we are focusing on four: one in Brentwood, a new option in Franklin, one in Green Hills, and an old favorite in Sylvan Park.

Here comes fall. Enjoy it.

Mere Bulles

Mere Bulles blends the old with the new, redefining American Southern cuisine and traditional steakhouse fare. The historic restaurant is located in Maryland Farms at The Maryland Manor, a plantation-style farmhouse built in 1942. Nestled between Nashville and Downtown Franklin, guests are invited to experience the historic home while enjoying the extensive half-priced bottled wine list and decadent fresh fish, hand cut steaks and locally sourced produce. The upscale, yet down-to-earth comfort food is demonstrated through dishes such as the famous Charleston she-crab bisque, Tasso-ham shrimp & grits and Phyllo wrapped sea bass. For outdoor dining, guests may dine on the bright and vibrant indoor patio, the elegant outdoor patio or the one-of-a-kind front balcony overlooking the nearby hills.

The Draft Room at Kings Bowl

Kings Bowl in Cool Springs is a three-in-one entertainment venue, featuring the award-winning restaurant The Draft Room, The Whiskey Room Live music venue and of course bowling and games for all! On The Draft Room at Kings’ 60-person patio, guests can enjoy beer garden tables and jumbo board games like Jenga and Connect Four. Noteworthy cocktails include The Fundamentalist, a rye whiskey cocktail with St. Germain, house-made mint syrup, soda water and fresh lemon juice. The food menu focuses on elevated American comfort food. Hand-formed buffalo wontons, award-winning burgers, house-smoked ribs, marinated steak tips and maple-glaze seared scallops are among the most popular dishes offered.
