Lou Galterio, who has performed the National Anthem for numerous NBA, NFL and MLB games, as well as for the President of the United States, will be performing the National Anthem this Saturday during the Memorial Day Splash event at Port Royal Park in Spring Hill.
The Memorial Day Splash event is Spring Hill’s annual opening of its splash pad, which kicks off every Memorial Day weekend. This year’s event will see a Memorial Day ceremony begin at 9 a.m. with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the Splash Pad’s opening at 10 a.m. Also performing during the ceremony will be the Spring Hill HarMonix, the city’s own community choir composed of singers of all ages.
In addition to performing the National Anthem all over the country, Galterio is also a seasoned Frank Sinatra tribute artist, and has been called “the golden voice” by fans and critics. Galterio has sung on Monday Night Football at the Superdome, during the NBA Playoffs, as well as for the First Lady, Speaker of the House and governors all across the country.
Food will be available at the event, benefiting the Southview Church. Food available for purchase include things like beef hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and other snacks. Need a Break Casual Drop Off Child Care will also be at the event, providing sunscreen and balloons to attendees.
The event is free to attend, with no registration required. Port Royal Park is located at 4285 Port Royal Road in Spring Hill.
