ROUNDUP: BGA girls soccer beat Harpeth Hall; Indy volleyball topples Summit


Harpeth Hall 1 at Battle Ground Academy 2

Anna Kerr’s goal in the 80th minute pushed BGA to a 2-1 win against Harpeth Hall Tuesday.

Lindsey Sauder gave BGA a 1-0 lead with a goal on an assist Anna Kerr in the 21st minute.

Harpeth Hall leveled the game in the 60th minute with a goal from Scout Robbins.

BGA goalkeeper Anna Quinn French had eight saves and one goal against.


Summit 1 at Independence 3

Independence took down Summit 25-17, 16-25, 13-25, 22-25 Tuesday.

“Following this past weekend’s strong play (3rd place with a 7-1 record) at the Collierville HS tournament, we came out sharp in the first set but did not carry that momentum forward,” Summit head coach Warne Riker said. “The match result was a combination of Indy’s improved play and unforced mistakes on our part.  We will clean up those areas.”


Franklin 143 vs. Independence 156

Franklin’s Michael Shears and Jack Morris each shot 34 (-2) in a 143-156 win against Independence Tuesday.

Addison Carney shot 36, while Connor Hawkins and Joseph Stanley both shot 39 in the win.

Summit 166 vs. Page 171 (@ King’s Creek)

Page’s boys golf team lost to Summit 171-166 Tuesday.

Page was led by Jack Emerson (38), Justin Reed (43), James Korjenek (44) and Asa Champ (46).


Summit 94 vs. Page 107 (@ King’s Creek)

Page’s girls golf team fell 107-94 against Summit Tuesday.

Skyler Pruett (52) and Lindsay Napier (55) led Page.
