ROUNDUP: Brentwood gets road win, GCA gets first victory of season

Below are two recaps of two Williamson County football games. 

Brentwood gets win eight over Marshall County 

The Brentwood Bruins came off the bye week and got a big 28-18 road win over Marshall County Friday night.

Despite being down 11-7 at the half, the Bruins roared back with a 21-point second half to halt the host and get the team’s seventh win of the season.

QB Cade Granzow threw for 178 yards, rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown to Walker Merrill.

RB Jordan Nicholas rushed for 88 yards and a score, while versatile offensive weapon Michael Burke had 71 yards of total offense and a touchdown.

The 7-2 Bruins will transition next to finish the season at home against Centennial.

GCA gets first win of season 

The Grace Christian Academy had to go to overtime to get their first win of 2018, but the trip proved successful.

The Lions got a 46-44 home victory over Mt. Pleasant.

They’ll finish the year with a trip to Fayetteville next Friday.
