Event along Thompson’s Station Road West showcases local businesses as well as Thompson’s Station village charm.

Sip and Savor at the Station on Saturday brought food, music and libations to Thompson’s Station, as well as hundreds of guests.

The final count was not in on Saturday night, but steady ticket sales for the fundraiser were capped by big sales the final week and lots of tickets sold at the gate, according to Rotarian Dan Costello.

The event was set up along Thompson Station Road West. Patrons strolled among the vendors from restaurants such as Circa, Grecian Pizza, Taziki’s, Acapulco, Papa Murphy’s and Homestead Manor (among others) and sampled beer, wine, whiskey and moonshine from Rock Bottom Brewery, Bad Idea Brewing, Spiked Seltzer, Wild Hare Beer Co., Lipman Brothers, H. Clark Distillery, and Short Mountain Distillery, among others.

Large fans were set up to cool off tent areas, but shade quickly covered the 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. event.

Proceeds fund the Rotary’s charities, with this event in particular going to Thompson’s Station and Spring Hill park systems.
