Skanska prepares to start work on $40 million Bone and Joint Institute

As surgeons begin phasing into the new Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee at Williamson Medical Center, Skanska has signed a contract with Williamson County Hospital District (dba Williamson Medical Center) to manage the construction of a new medical office building to house the facility.

According to an announcement from Skanska, construction on the $40 million project is expected to begin this month and is expected to be completed in early 2019.

As construction commences, the Institute will be temporarily located on-site in Williamson Tower, located at 4323 Carothers Parkway, in Franklin.

The construction project includes a 121,000-square-foot, freestanding medical office building, tenant buildout and site development on Williamson Medical Center’s main campus.

The project architect is Earl Swensson Associates.
