Four Williamson County teams entered the TSSAA State Tournament for girls soccer Wednesday, but only two advanced.
The Ravenwood Lady Raptors and Nolensville Lady Knights both advanced in their respective classes with victories Wednesday at Murfreesboro’s Siegel Soccer Complex.
Anna Augustini’s second goal on a cross from North Henderson helped get Ravenwood a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Oakland Thursday night in the first round of the Class AAA state bracket.
Anna Jahr scored the first goal for Ravenwood on a pass from Madison Sumatra.
The Lady Raptors will move on to the state semis to face Houston Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. on Field #1 at Siegel.
Nolensville got its first state tournament win in a 6-0 victory over Covington to open the team’s run Class AA state bracket, with five of those coming in the second half of play.
Elisa Dobson and Millie Smith had 2 goals each, while Amelia LoGuidice and Sydney Hummel contributed with one goal a piece.
They’ll move on to play Seymour at 1:30 p.m. Thursday on Field #3.

Brentwood, GCA both exit tourney
Though, Brentwood and Grace Christian Academy saw their seasons come to a close.
The Lady Bruins took the region last week but lost 2-1 to Bearden in the first round of Class AAA as the game went to penalty kicks. They’ll end the year 16-3-2.
Elle Scott had the lone tally for Brentwood.
GCA lost to Polk Co. 2-1 in the Class A opening round Wednesday, closing their 14-7-1 season.
Gabby Jones had the only Lady Lions goal.
CPA, BA to begin tournaments Thursday
Christ Presbyterian Academy and Brentwood Academy will begin their tournaments on Thursday.
CPA will take on St. George’s on Field #3 at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in their Class A DII semifinals, while BA will face GPS on Field #2 at 4:00 p.m. in Class AA’s semis.
