The government of Spring Hill is making its first big move from City Hall to the newly-acquired Northfield Building at the end of December.
The Building Codes and Planning & Zoning Departments will be moving to the new location on December 26. The move will cause a brief interruption in service. The city is requesting that applicants submit requests outside of the dates of December 26 – January 1.
“You’ll be able to do your complete transactions with them at the building, we’ll have it set up to where it’s a one-stop,” said Spring Hill city administrator Victor Lay. “You walk in, and whether you’re getting a fence permit, paying development fees or anything [else], you can take care of it right there. We are planning on the move happening the week between Christmas and New Years.”
Purchased in late 2017 for roughly $8 million, the Northfield building will see much of the city government eventually move to the new property, including the Board of Mayor and Alderman as well as the public library. The Northfield Building is located at 5000 Northfield Lane, Spring Hill, TN 37174.
