Spring Hill’s 17th annual Fourth of July Bicycle Parade is set to commence next week at Port Royal Park, where flags, food and fun will be front and center during the celebration.
Organized in part by the Spring Hill Parks and Recreation Department, the event welcomes families and kids of all ages to participate in the parade, and encourages participants to decorate their bicycles with as much red, white and blue as possible.
Previously held alongside Beechcroft Road, this year’s event saw the move to Port Royal Park due to the ongoing construction, with the project recently seeing its deadline pushed beyond its original anticipated completion date.
The lineup for the parade will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, with the actual parade commencing at 9:30 a.m. Beyond bicycles, participants are also welcome to bring skates, wagons, power wheels and more. The Spring Hill chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution organization will also be handing out flags, stickers and other America-themed items.
Following the parade, families can cool down with an ice cream party, a juice bowl and Gogurts courtesy of McDonald’s of Maury County, and some fun at the Splash Pad.
Port Royal Park is located at 4285 Port Royal Road in Spring Hill, just south of Saturn Parkway.
