The Spring Hill Parks and Recreation department will host its 12th annual Fourth of July parade Friday beginning at 9 a.m., according to Chandler Lamb of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce. City parks director Kevin Fischer put the event together.
Children will gather at the post office on Town Center Parkway to decorate their bikes and wagons with flags and patriotic colors. They will then ride down Beechcroft Road before finishing at Evans Park.

“This has always been a fun event in the past,†Lamb said. “I’ve seen people lined up and down both sides of the street to watch the kids. I’m glad that Spring Hill does something like this for children, something that isn’t as huge as the parades at other Fourth of July events.â€
