Trevor Kuehl, son of John and Beth Kuehl, is a senior at Summit High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
Along with being named this week’s Student of the Week, Kuehl was also named Nissan of Cool Springs Scholar Athlete of the Week this October. He has been in the top 10 in his class throughout all four years of high school and is one of the captains of the football team.
He is passionate about caring for others. He said it is important to him to show compassion because “I know how far a smile and a helping hand can go.” He said he finds joy in helping people around him and hopes that one day, he can make a career out of it.
Kuehl’s favorite teachers are Mr. Cherry and Mr. Turpin. He kindly said that both are overqualified for their jobs, but that he can tell they do it because of how much they love kids.
His role model and inspiration is his father, John.
“I watch him work for my family every day. I couldn’t ask for a better father and I hope that I can be at least half the man that he is some day,” he said.
After graduating from Summit High, Kuehl plans to attend either Clemson or Auburn University to study business and Spanish.
