A new wrinkle for ticket purchase sales as the county’s high school football playoffs ramp up, the TSSAA is now offering an online option through the GoFan mobile app.
“Today’s spectators have come to expect conveniences like online and mobile ticketing and the ability to pay with a credit or debit card,” Bernard Childress, Exec. Director of the TSSAA, said in a release. “Our use of GoFan for digital ticketing the past few years at state championship events has been well received.”
GoFan is a part of Huddle Tickets, who has provided TSSAA’s ticketing in the past.
Fans of local teams can purchase the playoff tickets by downloading the GoFan app on their phone or tablet or going to the group’s website and buying the desired game’s ticket there.
From then on, you would present the ticket at the gate as a mobile entry. GoFan tickets are not available for print; they must be displayed through the app on a screen. Ticket validation will be done at the gate with the app’s tickets open for the gatekeeper to tap and approve.
Though there is a processing fee for purchasing tickets on the app, the revenue from the actual ticket sales will still go 100-percent to the schools.
You can purchase all regular tickets at tssaasports.com and can utilize GoFan at GoFan.co and with the group’s app.
Tickets will go on sale as soon as the playoff schedule is released following Friday’s regular season finales.
