Senator-elect Marsha Blackburn addressed an enthusiastic crowd on Tuesday night at the Cool Springs Marriott Hotel after her victory in the U.S. Senate race.
Blackburn, a mother of two who lives in Brentwood with her husband, Chuck, has represented Tennessee’s 7th District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2003. Before that she served in the Tennessee Senate.
Unofficial results showed Blackburn with 1,224,042 votes, or 54.7% of the vote over former Gov. Phil Bredesen, who had 981,667.
