Here’s a look at the ongoings of county girls’ soccer and volleyball over the last few days.


Brentwood swept Franklin Wednesday night 3-0, led by Shaye Eggleston’s 14 kills and Tori Carpenter’s 31 assists.

The Lady Bruins and Lady Rebels kept it close in the first set, but Brentwood carried it away in the latter two.

Celia Lamb pitched into the Brentwood win with 7 kills.

Brentwood also got the best of Page 3-0 on Tuesday, with Eggleston and Mary Oldham at 9 kills a piece.

Summit edged Centennial 3-1 Wednesday night in a district contest, with Avri Davis pacing the Lady Spartans with 23 kills.

“We played in a 60 plus team high school tournament this past weekend in east TN and finished ninth-place going 5-1 on the weekend,” Summit head coach Warne Riker said. “Our play was more consistent and the young ladies grew as teammates.  There were many positive takeaways from the weekend and I sensed momentum entering tonight’s match.

“We have played pretty well on the road this season and expect to carry tonight’s effort into tomorrow night’s match at Ravenwood.”

BGA swept Zion Christian Academy 3-0 Tuesday night.

Girls’ Soccer 

BGA got a 9-0 win over Zion Christian Academy Tuesday night, with Kennedy Price netting 3 goals and Alyssa White and Katie Baldwin adding in 2 each.

“We’re glad to maintain our winning record in district play, and it’s an added bonus when everyone on the team gets to contribute to a win,” Lady Wildcats head coach Jan Morrissey said.

Summit defeated Overton 5-0 Monday.
