Williamson County Lawyer R.W. Hardison was suspended last week for misappropriating funds for personal use.
According to the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility, Hardison was suspended because his conduct “poses a threat of substantial harm to the public.”
Hardison, a real estate attorney in Columbia, was also censured in 2014 for practicing law after being suspended by the TBPR.
Hardison is prohibited from accepting new clients effective immediately and must cease representing all current clients by Sept. 28.
The suspension remains until dissolved or modified by the Tennessee Supreme Court. Hardison can petition for modification or dissolution.
