The South Nashville Little League 12-year-old All-Star Team is off to a strong start at the Little League Southeast Regional in Warner Robins, GA.

The team full of Williamson County players earned a 10-0 win over Alabama in the first round of pool play Saturday morning.

Robert Hassell III (Heritage) was the winning pitcher after throwing six strikeouts in three innings. He also had two hits with a double and one RBI at the plate.

Garrett Justice (Woodland) and Sam Slaughter (Rock Springs) added two hits and one RBI each, while Blake Money (Spring Station) connected for a home run and two RBI.

This is South Nashville’s second straight trip to the Southeast Regional after it won the tournament last year to earn a berth in the Little League World Series.

Its next game is against Virginia at 6 p.m. Monday.
